Personally, I think one of the most dangerous pieces of advice out there is … “Just follow the formula.”
I see it all the time, especially with conscious leaders who are trying to grow their impact, build something sustainable, and not burn out in the process. Somewhere along the way, they’ve been told that success comes from following someone else’s five-step process, exact morning routine, or perfectly color-coded calendar.
And sure, those systems might work for some people. But for most of us, they just reinforce a cycle of overthinking and self-doubt.
When you’re constantly trying to “get it right,” you end up outsourcing your authority and handing over your power to someone else’s rules. You start second-guessing every decision. You question your intuition. You wait for permission. And you lose touch with the quiet, steady inner guidance that always knows what’s right for you.
Thinking vs. Feeling: The Authority Shift
One of the most profound lessons in Human Design is that we’re not meant to make decisions from our heads. Your mind is a brilliant observer, but it’s not your inner authority (unless, of course, you have Mental Authority, which is extremely rare).
In Human Design, your authority lives in your body. For some, it’s an instant gut response. For others, it’s emotional clarity that unfolds over time, or a deep intuitive knowing that arrives like a whisper. When you start honoring this internal compass, decision-making becomes less about logic and more about alignment.
The question stops being, “What’s the smartest move?” and starts becoming, “What feels right?”
The Somatic “Yes”
You’ve felt it before—the full-body exhale of a genuine yes. The calm steadiness of something that feels aligned. The expansion that says, this is right for me, even if it doesn’t make perfect sense on paper.
Embodiment work helps you rebuild that muscle. Instead of seeking safety in someone else’s answers, you learn to find it within your own nervous system. When something feels off, your body tightens. When it’s right, your body opens. It’s that simple, and that profound.
Real People. Real Shifts.
A client of mine came to me feeling paralyzed by indecision. She was running a thriving business, but every new offer, post, or conversation sent her into overthinking. We worked on reprogramming the subconscious beliefs that told her she had to have a logical reason for everything.
Through Human Design and subconscious reprogramming, she learned to tune in to her emotional authority. Instead of rushing decisions, she gave herself space to feel them. Within weeks, her marketing became easier, her boundaries clearer, and her joy louder.
Another client, a Manifesting Generator, used to apologize constantly for changing her mind. Once she understood that her design thrives on variety and passion, she stopped labeling herself as inconsistent and started following what lit her up. Her energy and results skyrocketed.
This is what happens when you stop outsourcing your authority and start listening to your own body.
The Bottom Line
You don’t need another strategy. You need self-trust.
There’s no “right” way to lead a business, a team, or a life. But there is your way—and it’s been within you all along.
