Self-Care: Because You’re Not a Robot

I know you may have cringed with the subject line here but I’m watching so many of us fall apart at the seams and we need to have another chat about the importance of self-care. You might think it’s all bubble baths and spa days, but let’s face it — sometimes you just need to keep your sanity intact during life’s chaos.

When stress hits like a freight train (thanks election, and upcoming holidays!), the last thing you need is to feel like you’re running on empty. Enter self-care. It’s not just for those Instagram influencers sipping herbal tea in a plush robe. It’s about making sure you don’t turn into a raging lunatic or a catatonic robot when everything feels like it’s piling up.

Recognizing the importance of your own self-care requires some mindset work, for sure. You’ve got to decide you’re worth the time and effort. But my magic wand for powerful mind shifts is subconscious reprogramming.

To put it bluntly, NLP and subconscious programming are all about getting your mind to stop being a jerk. You know that nagging voice that tells you you’re not good enough? Yeah, we’re shutting that voice up. It’s a butch and a liar and you don’t need it anymore.

When stress levels spike, our brains can turn into a hot mess of negative thoughts. With NLP, you can rewire that inner critic and transform it into your own personal cheer squad (but, like, the cool kind). Imagine dealing with a stressful situation with a calm smile instead of wanting to pull your hair out. Trust me, it’s a game-changer.

So, how do you make self-care and NLP part of your wild and wonderful life?

In the meantime, here are some quick tips for shifting your energy and mindset and getting out of a funky space. 

  • Start small
  • Take a breather
  • do a little dance party in your kitchen
  • just sit in silence for a moment

Remember, self-care isn’t just a buzzword; it’s an essential survival tactic. Prioritizing your well-being doesn’t make you selfish — it makes you human.
