Parenting is not for the faint of heart

After spending a year and a half of infertility treatment Julie would learn this valuable lesson. As somebody who fought so hard to have the opportunity to have a child, she thought the hardest part was over. What they don’t tell you when you have a kid is to expect the unexpected. Julies oldest son Ryan was diagnosed with Autism, a feat that had its own challenges. Determined to be the best mother there was Julie found any resources needed to raise her two kids.

Embracing Neurodiversity

Julie raised two boys who were both neurodiverse. In the community and resources, she found for her child, she quickly found herself. Questions that had long been unanswered were finally clearing up for Julie. After getting a diagnosis of her own Julie started the journey of accepting and forgiving herself.

Tiny Book

What started off as a quarantine dare from her son soon turned into a resource for so many. Mother’s Quest Inspiration Guide Volume 1 is the first tiny book from Julie Neale and is a guide to answer the call to living your E.P.I.C. Life.

Connect with Julie

After a 20-year career as a leader in youth-serving non-profit organizations, Julie turned her focus to coaching, training at the Coaches Training Institute, and facilitating a process known as “reflection” for youth development professionals. Through this and her parenting experience, she realized that mothers need an opportunity to reflect on their own growth, dreams, and plans and created Mother’s Quest to champion them.

With calm and care, Julie taps into her own curiosity and intuition, to help her clients slow down from the busyness of life and work, reflect on what matters, clarify a future vision, and move into action.

Giving is Good

Julie was able to bring light to so many organizations through the Women Podcasters in Solidarity initiative.

The one organization that Julie is most passionate about is Circle of Mothers. Sybrina Fulton created the Circle of Mothers as a way to empower women. The purpose of the Circle of Mothers is to bring together mothers who have lost children or family members to senseless gun violence for the purpose of healing, empowerment, and fellowship towards the larger aim of community building.

This will be done by:

  1. Providing an opportunity for mothers who have experienced the loss of children to senseless gun violence to engage in experiential restoration activities that will equip them to self-manage their coping and healing process.
  2. Bringing together a group of women from communities nationwide who are natural stakeholders to engage in a simplified strategic planning session for the Circle of Mothers program to prevent violent deaths in communities nationwide and heighten awareness about how violent crimes impact society.
  3. Opening a national dialogue and forming a national program agenda for the empowerment of mothers as community change agents

"Stepping into parenthood is always a mystery, there are no guarantees about anything."
